NIPOST, working with ONDI, invites innovation hubs to apply for access to the Digital Postcode API and access tokens.

Approved hubs can make that access available to the startups and developers in their programmes, and integrate postcode services into their own tools.

Who can apply

Innovation hubs that have these,

Legal registration

Registered in Nigeria; a CAC registration or equivalent.

An established track record

Operational for at least 3 years.

An active startup portfolio

Actively supporting a minimum of 10 to 15 startups.

A developer community

A thriving developer community around the hub.

A named technical lead

Able to manage integration and token use.

A clear use case

Able to demonstrate how you'd use the postcode API in your programmes or products.

To apply, you'll need

  • ✓Proof of registration
  • ✓A brief profile of the hub: focus areas, programmes, reach
  • ✓A list of startups or developers likely to use the API
  • ✓Your proposed use case(s) and expected outcomes
  • ✓Details of your nominated technical lead
  • ✓Signed acceptance of the API terms of use and data protection obligations

If approved, you'll agree to

  • Use tokens only for the approved purposes
  • Keep credentials secure; never share or resell them
  • Comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the programme's terms of use
  • Report on usage and outcomes at agreed intervals
  • Take part in feedback sessions and showcase opportunities
